====== Setting Up Email Forwarding in CommuniGate Webmail ======

With CommuniGate Webmail, you can forward your university email address to another email address

===== 1. Login =====

  * Go to **https://mail.uni-freiburg.de**  
  * Log in using your full email address and password

===== 2. Setting Up Email Forwarding =====

  - Navigate to **Mail Control**  
  - Check the box **Copy All Mail To**  
  - Enter the target email address in the field below  
  - Choose one of the following options:  
    * **Send on behalf of this Account**  
      The emails will be forwarded, and your own email address will appear as the sender  
    * **Keep the Original Sender Address**  
      The emails will be forwarded, and the original sender address will remain unchanged  
    * **Send unchanged Copy**  
      An exact copy of the email will be forwarded  

  - Click **Update** to save your settings

===== Important Notes =====

  * **Check your CommuniGate mailbox regularly**, especially if the option **Keep the Original** is activated. A full mailbox will block forwarding  
  * Some providers (e.g., Gmail, iCloud, Hotmail) only allow forwarded emails if the option **Send on behalf of this Account** is activated
