To facilitate the transition to the new email system, a virtual environment is available that can be used to transport existing emails. This (bwLehrpool) environment can be used in all computer pool rooms, but is also available via bwLehrpool-remote. The only difference between the two types is the type of login; after that, the procedure is the same.
You can use this virtual environment via bwLehrpool-remote online via browser as well as conveniently on site in the PC pools at Werthmannstraße 4, the computer center at Hermann-Herder-Straße 10 or the Freiburg University Library. If you have any questions or problems, please contact the student advisory service in Werthmannstraße 4 at 0761 / 203-4666 or beratung@rz.uni-freiburg.de; you can also contact us directly there; we will be happy to help you with the transfer. The Opening hours can be found here.]
Please note that certain special characters in passwords can be problematic, especially with bwLehrpool-remote, as the correct character interpretation may depend on your own system / browser. For such cases, there is an on-screen keyboard at the bottom of the screen which appears when the script is started.
==== Registration pool room ====
The login to bwLehrpool is done with the usual RZ account. At some locations ((e.g. in the RZ)) a query appears first (“Campus-Login”, “Shibboleth-Login” and “QR-Code-Login”). Select “Campus-Login” here.
==== Login bwLehrpool-remote ====
| First log in to [[https://bwlehrpool.ruf.uni-freiburg.de|bwLehrpool-remote with your university account and the corresponding password. | |

Follow the instructions in the terminal and log in with both e-mail addresses. A user name in the form 'u12345' with a password is required for the new e-mail account at GWDG. These are the application-specific login data which you receive via the IDM portal, instructions can be found here. The synchronization is started after a test run. | ![]() |
