Nach Abschluss der Promotionsvereinbarung stellen Sie Ihren Antrag auf Annahme als Doktorand*in. Die Antragstellung erfolgt online in mehreren Schritten: Anleitung.
Nach der Annahme durch die Fakultät sind Sie verpflichtet, sich zu immatrikulieren. Wenn Sie hauptberuflich an der Albert-Ludwigs-Universität tätig sind, können Sie sich von der Immatrikulationspflicht befreien lassen. Zuständig für die Immatrikulation/Registrierung ist das Service Center Studium. Ausführliche Informationen finden Sie hier.

Instructions for prospective doctoral candidates
For general information on pursuing a doctorate at the University of Freiburg, have a look at the information page of the Graduate Centre (GraCe).
After completing the supervision agreement you need to fill in the application for admission as a doctoral candidate. The admission procedure takes place online and involves several steps (detailed instructions can be found here).
Once your application was accepted by the faculty you are required to enroll yourself at the University of Freiburg. In case doctoral candidates have their main occupation at the University of Freiburg they can request an exemption from the enrollment obligation.
